Foshan Prefecture is located in the central area of Guangdong Province and just situated on the hinterland of Pearl River Delta. Foshan enjoys advantageous geographical position as it connects with Guangzhou on the east and it is adjacent to Hong Kong and Macau to the south.
Foshan Prefecture covers a total area of 3818.64 square kilometers with the urban area of 77.4 square kilometers. Foshan is well known as a famous hometown of overseas Chinese.
